Located at the Costa Brava you will find one of the best water parks in Europe: Waterworld. This water park features the most magnificent attractions: from extreme slides and rides with high speeds, to whirlpools to relax in.
If you are travelling with young children, then we can recommend the Gnomopark amusement park at Lloret de Mar. This family friendly amusement park offers obstacle courses, mini golf parkour, a ball pit and special rides for the young ones. If you want some more action, step into the go-karts or try not to get hit during ‘soft paintball’, especially for children between 8 and 14 years old.
Costa Brava in Spain is known for its Mediterranean climate. As a result, winters are mild and summers could be very hot. Because of the location at the Mediterranean Sea, the temperature is stable in this region. Keep in mind that during the months July and August the temperature is very hot, that makes you take the little rain showers for granted. The climate and weather is also determined by its location on the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees Mountains.
Around the Costa Brava, we can recommend 3 top campsites. Looking for a campsite with several pools? Camping Cala Gogo has at least 6 swimming pools! This pool complex will keep the kids entertained for hours. When visiting in pre or after season, you still have the possibility to have a dive. The pools are then heated through solar energy.
If you are looking for a beach holiday, camping Castell Montgri near Estartit is the place to be. A great, big campsite with even an outdoor cinema!
If you are looking for a smaller campsite, we can recommend Cala Canylles. Located between Tossa de Mar and Lloret, and just 200 meter away from the beach, you will find this spacious campsite.
Traveling to the Costa Brava by airplane is mostly done on the airports of Girona and Barcelona el Prat.
The two languages that are spoken at the Costa Brava are Catalan and Spanish. The Costa Brava is located in Catalonia, which has long wanted wish for independence in Spain. This is the reason they have their own language. It sounds a bit like real Spanish but differs somewhat in this.
